Congo Ebola: on 28 September, 8,067 confirmed cases and 3,901 deaths. On 4 October, 8,603 confirmed cases and 4,148 deaths, 59 cases and 34 deaths more than on 3 October, 896 patients in isolation. United States measles as of 1 October: 3,887 confirmed cases, 352 in hospital, 2 deaths according to the CDC. That number can still change. Dengue, South America week 36: Brazil 1,294,963, Colombia 79,304, Bolivia 58,628, Peru 55,943. India through August: 46,670. Sri Lanka through 27 September: 100,127. Bangladesh, one week in mid-September: 10,135 suspected cases and 35 deaths. Nepal in August: 1,776.

  Congo, data through 4 October. ECDC, published 5 October: 8,603 confirmed cases, 4,148 deaths, 896 patients in isolation. That is 59 more cases and 34 more deaths than through 3 October. Ituri: 6,450 cases, 2,968 deaths. North Kivu: 1,729 cases, 1,005 deaths. The 7 October update replaced these figures.

  ECDC report published 4 October, data through 3 October. The next report added 59 confirmed cases and 34 deaths. From that increase, the 3 October total is 8,544 confirmed cases and 4,114 deaths.

• 2 October 2026 · Measles

  2 deaths according to the CDC, as of 1 October. The number can still change. 3,887 confirmed cases, 352 in hospital, 42 outbreaks. This U.S. figure is older than the Pennsylvania report of 6 October.

  ECDC, September 2026: worldwide, more than 2 million dengue cases and more than 1,000 deaths since the start of 2026. Americas, PAHO, through the week ending 30 August: 1,658,783 suspected cases, 3,290 severe, 552 deaths, 57 percent lower than the same period in 2025. In that week Peru was 35 percent higher than its own previous four weeks. South America, ECDC, week 36: Brazil 1,294,963, Colombia 79,304, Bolivia 58,628, Peru 55,943. India, as of August: 46,670 cases, against 49,553 in the same months of 2025. Sri Lanka, as of 27 September: 100,127. Bangladesh, 14 to 20 September: 10,135 suspected cases and 35 deaths that week. Nepal, August: 1,776 cases, up from 918 in July. Maldives: more than 2,900 cases by 24 May. This update has no country figure for Argentina, Paraguay, Ecuador, Venezuela, Pakistan, Bhutan or Myanmar.
